I like to go get my haircut at a new place every time and most of the time it’s somewhere abroad. I typically try to pick barber shops where the owner is also the sole employee so I can talk to them. So I think it’s a great way to find out about how to run a local business. So as an entrepreneur, what are the challenges and how long did it take you to set up your business, how much capital did you need? I think these are very interesting questions.

Typically, I enjoy chatting with the owner about that. This time, it was a bit of a bigger salon and the guy I, who cut my hair, his English was not too good so I just chose to take the time to relax. Using a local barber shop, I think, is always a good way to get in touch with local entrepreneurs and figure out what does it take for small business owners to open and operate the shop.

I almost feel bad for putting on a helmet now but I think especially in Bali you don’t want to compromise on safety – you’re on a scooter. I can feel how I just ruined the haircut. Elena’s getting a pedicure somewhere close by so I’m gonna try and pick her up, find where she is and then we’ll head to the W for a business meeting. Let’s go!

Planning the next day

Back to the villa. Right now working on today’s episode, getting it out there. It’s about midnight. No, it’s actually just 10 p.m.

Super happy I get to spend some time with two of my favorite people in the world – Elena and Jordan. Jordan flew in today from Perth and he’s gonna work from here as well over the next few days. Tomorrow afternoon we’ll go and play an escape room – definitely one of my favorite past-time activities.

I feel the last few days have been a bit light on value in these videos so tomorrow we’re gonna make an effort and create a lot of content. I’m also gonna ask Jordan a few questions. He’s also a very impressive guy. He started his company very early on and running a very successful agency. We’re gonna work on content, escape rooms, enjoying Bali – that will be our Sunday. And with that, good night!
